The Stadium was designed using the best energy-saving practices and eco-friendly building materials, which has been a key feature of Qatar’s efforts to host the most environmentally friendly World Cup.

The Supreme Committee isn’t only focused on making the venue a green building. The model has been applied to the city of Al Khor surrounding the stadium. There will be many parks, lakes, water features, and green spaces in the city, as well as protected green belt land that extends from the stadium to the sea.
